Indication to Use

Functional Dyspepsia: And rest the chronic symptomatology of feeling of fullness or bloating, pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen and early satiety.

Postprandial Distress Syndrome (PDS):  Focus on the sensation of post-meal fullness, heaviness, and discomfort.

Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders: In cases with delayed gastric emptying or inefficient action of the stomach muscles.

Patients with Normal Endoscopy but Persistent Symptoms: In those with constant, unexplained digestive problems and no structural alterations from a scope.

Mechanism of Action

Gastroprokinetic Action: Raises the ease and the amounts of released acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter facilitating contraction of the stomach muscles.

Also prevents the action of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which disintegrates acetylcholine, thus removing its inhibitory function.

Improves gastric motility: Increases the movement of the stomach and intestines in relation to food propelling, enhancing gastric emptying.

Advance Accommodation of Gastric Contents: Enable the stomach for the specific volume of deflated food.

Dosages of OPIAMIDE-300

Standard Adult Dosage: One tablet (Acotiamide 300mg) once a day, preferably taken before your main meal

This is an extended-release formulation. Other dosage forms, such as the immediate-release version, may have varying dosing schedules. OPIAMIDE-300 is 300 mg once daily, not 100mg three times a day…before meals.

Side Effects of using OPIAMIDE-300

The OPIAMIDE-300 tablets can have some side effects ranging from common to rare In case of continuity of the effect, consult the doctor and take proper advice.

• Constipation
• Loose motions (diarrhea)
• Nausea
• Abdominal discomfort
• Allergic reactions, which are rare such as rash, itching, and swelling
